League Openings Major League Fantasy Basketball 2016/2017
With the 2015/2016 season wrapping up this year with an amazing come back from the “King” down 3 to 1, it is now time to look forward to the 2016/2017 season. The biggest news this Summer is Kevin Durant deciding to team up with Curry in Golden State. I think we should expect a 3rd straight Western Conference crown, and possibly a 3rd straight Cleveland vs Golden State NBA Finals. Obviously this was not the only news of free agent signings or trades this offseason, far from it. However, that is a different discussion for a different time. We are here to discuss MLFBB leagues for the coming 2016/2017 season.
We run 2 uniquely scored and scheduled leagues. The challenge with most basketball leagues is a standard scoring system that lends itself to being too top-heavy for everyone to really compete.
This actually mirrors the NBA quite a bit. Unlike most other sports the NBA is usually represented by the overall best player in the NBA in the Finals by and large. This creates an issue when it comes to fantasy competition. What we have worked on for years is developing a system that does not take away from the top end guys, but creates a more competitive friendly environment. So if you don’t get the likes of Lebron, Unibrow, Curry, and players of the like you will be able to compete. We had an owner in League 2 that had both Lebron and A. Davis. He was the 7th seed in the playoffs and lost in round one. Just an example of how the leagues run. Set it and forget it is not a strategy. The two different setups are really a blend of season long and DFS management. Pretty fun stuff.
Both leagues are 14 team, 2 division leagues in which 7 teams make the playoffs. MLFBB1 is a head to head category league with 12 different cats to compete for along with a standard scheduling system. MLFBB2 is a head to head category points league in which you play every team every week. This model was fantastic last season and we had some good positive feed back from the concept. MLFBB1 and MLFBB2 are both 2 player keeper leagues. MLFBB2 we ran as a free league last year to test out the model and this year we will be a money league. MLFB1 is a snake draft set up, and MLFBB2 is an auction draft for year 1 and a snake draft every year after. We allow draft pick trading during our pre-season as well in MLFBB1.
There are many things to discuss and if you have interest we can discuss them over a phone call. We interview every potential owner so we make sure we are a good fit for you and you for us. I have contact form listed below for interested parties to fill out. Make sure a working phone number is provided. If not you won’t be considered for the group. My contact information will be listed below so if you want to just reach out and give me a call feel free to do so. The information provided in the contact form is only visible to me so don’t worry about it being logged on the website for all to view.

@CraigMish No convincing needed. It was the set up for, in my opinion, the most lopsided trade of all time. I still can't believe MLB didn't block that deal. Smh
